Before You Arrive

Appointments are required for both bridal and bridesmaids. Please note that Saturday appointments fill up quickly.  Please call two weeks in advance to secure your Saturday bridal appointment.

What to Bring
Feel free to bring any bridal magazines with pictures of your desired gown choices.  When you arrive your sales consultant will ask you a few questions about your vision, budget and style.
Pure Bliss will provide shoes, long-line bras and slips, while trying on gowns.

Selecting a bridal gown is a very personal decision.  We strongly recommend that you bring only one or two people to help make YOUR decision.  As well meaning as friends may be, they can often add comments that challenge your vision.  We will be happy to welcome your friends back in to the boutique for a “try on” appointment after you have made your gown selection.  At the “try on” appointment we can put you in our sample of your wedding gown.

Selecting a Gown
Please note that we have access to many of the gowns you see in national and local magazines. Use the guide below to help you narrow the selection:

Silhouettes

  • Ball Gown – This style is the most traditional with a full bodice that leads to a full skirt.
  • Empire – This cut features a waistline right under the bust that falls to a slimmer skirt.
  • A–line Princess – This shape has vertical seams flowing from the skirt; these seams have a slimming effect.
  • Sheath – This design is a slim silhouette that closely follows the contour of the body.
  • Trumpet/Fit & Flare- This design features a slim silhouette that gradually flares out beneath the knees.
  • Mermaid- This design is very similar to the trumpet; a mermaid dress cinches in tight at the knees before flaring out to the hem.
